6A- Identifying Opportunities in Economic & Regulatory Trends 1. Regulatory opportunity Perfect Online Privacy:     I found this article based on the article I reported about a debit card being stolen through an online phone call. The trend of online shopping, filing, banking, payments, etc. mean that many people store very sensitive information on their internet accounts, and with the right tools one can easily access this through a hack. Information from Technologyreview.com states that a perfect form of online privacy may exist. I believe this opportunity exists based on evidence regarding crypto coding.  The tool is an emerging cryptographic protocol called a zero-knowledge proof. Though researchers have worked on it for decades, interest has exploded in the past year, thanks in part to the growing obsession with cryptocurrencies, most of which aren’t private. The prototypical customer would be many young people, who are leaning more toward the trend...
5A - Identifying Local Opportunities 1. More than 20 vehicles vandalized in northwest Miami-Dade      https://www.local10.com/news/florida/miami-dade/more-than-20-vehicles-vandalized-in-northwest-miami-dade      On the night of January 22nd, more than 20 vehicles were vandalized overnight in northwest Miami-Dade. Residents along Northwest 124th Street told woke up Wednesday morning to find their front driver's side windows smashed. Surveillance videos shows a person scoping out cars while they were parked before picking out cars to break into.  One man said the car burglar or burglars broke into his pickup truck outside his home and rummaged through the center console.  Despite the break-in, he said nothing was taken, leaving the cars vandalized. A resident of the neighborhood said that such an action surprised him, because  nothing like that had ever occurred  in a span of 30 years of him living there. The suspect is...

My Opportunity Belief-4A

1) I believe that many people suffer from the bias of News Networks, and it skews their views on multiple issues, pushing further the agenda of the news networks and those who provide the funding for their shows. There has to be a need for a regulation of news networks and what they can pass on as 'News" and what they should pass on as opinionated talk shows. Also a way of regulating headlines throughout all news networks alike. 2) The unmet need is the need for a regulation of news networks and their characterization of news versus opinions and flat out speculation. The need is not only for the news outlets, but also for the audience watching the news who want simple, factual, unbiased news but instead are fed speculation by different news outlets who have an agenda to push. This need was produced by the growing bias in different news networks, and how new outlets have become more towards entertainment instead of informing. Many people are trying to move away from bias ou...

My Entrepreneurship Story-3A

Image
All my life I have always been an innovative and creative person, and I have my parents to thank for that. My parents, being immigrants from Peru and moving here to start a life completely from scratch, have always had the tenacity and drive to solve problems, think of solutions, and enact those solutions. In short, my father went from being a busboy in a BBQ joint in North Carolina, to being the Regional Project manager for every Bank Of America in the Southeast of the United States, and my mom went from being a stay at home mom to being the director of her own Dayschool. This was no accident, it was all about the risks they took, the chances they took, and the mindset to create, networking skills, and a never ending drive to better their families life. This has always been an example I followed and looked up to. My first entrepreneur story begins in middle school. My friends and I started a small little rap group, we made music for ourselves and then our friends told us that it was ...

Adrian's Bug List-2A

Adrian's Bug List: - Trash bags that are too thin and rip when they are too full/ hold heavy objects.       This exists most like because the material that trash bags are made of are most likely not made to hold such heavy objects. - When I write on paper with a pen, the ink always smudges on the side of my hand and covers it with ink.        This occurs because I am a left handed writer and because the ink in my pen does not immediately dry once I write, and I assume this may happen to other left handed writers as well - When the call volume is too high when calling a company, many times I am left on hold for too long.       This occurs due to the queue of callers waiting to have my calls received before them, but it may sometimes be derived from technical errors as well. - Unknowingly stepping in dog feces when walking on the grass, and it creates an odor that smells horrendous and sticks to my shoe.      ...
