Adrian's Bug List-2A

Adrian's Bug List:

- Trash bags that are too thin and rip when they are too full/ hold heavy objects.
This exists most like because the material that trash bags are made of are most likely not made to hold such heavy objects.

- When I write on paper with a pen, the ink always smudges on the side of my hand and covers it with ink.
This occurs because I am a left handed writer and because the ink in my pen does not immediately dry once I write, and I assume this may happen to other left handed writers as well

- When the call volume is too high when calling a company, many times I am left on hold for too long.
This occurs due to the queue of callers waiting to have my calls received before them, but it may sometimes be derived from technical errors as well.

- Unknowingly stepping in dog feces when walking on the grass, and it creates an odor that smells horrendous and sticks to my shoe.
This happens when the grass is too tall and people do not clean up after their dog.

-Stubbing my toe on the hard corners of my furniture.
When i stub my toe on my furniture, it hurts an incredible amount due to the shock of the event and the material that the furniture is typically made out of.

- The oily feeling of sunscreen on my skin, and how it creates a greasy feeling.
The feeling of placing sunscreen freshly on my skin is caused by the protective layering and the consistency of the sunscreen.

- Food that is cooked for the instructed time but is not ready regardless.
This may be caused by a malpractice of cooking techniques, such as incorrect temperatures or materials.

- Bed frame that makes too much noise when one moves around in the bed.
This has a variety of causes as to why this occurs, including loose screws, improper assembly, etc.

- Falling asleep with the Television on and not being able to turn it off until the next morning.
This is caused by me being too tired to turn off the TV or accidentally falling asleep.

- Slow cars using the fast lane and holding up the traffic on the Turnpike
Many drivers may be unaware of the fast lane, which is known to be the far left lane of the freeway, or some may need to use that lane to avoid trucks or get to an exit.

- Inaccuracies in the Uber app, which causes confusion amongst me and my ride.
Not quite sure why this occurs, but a lot of the time, the GPS locator can me incorrect in where to pick up the user.

- Smudges on my iPhone, and my Keyboard
Smudging may be caused by grease or sweat on fingers, the screen being moist, etc.

- Small objects falling between the crack of a couch or a sofa and then being hard to retrieve.
The spots between cushions can unknowingly devour small objects by simply having them fall into the opening.

- The Space between the drivers seat/passenger seat and the middle of the car that makes objects that fall into that crack impossible to find let alone retrieve.
The crack between the seat and the middle part of the car directly leads to an area completely out of reach when something falls through it.

- Short straws that do not reach the bottom of the cup when there is not a lot of liquid left.
This can be an error in the way straws were made, or the tilting of the cup that does not allow me to reach the rest of my drink when drinking with certain straws.

- When the sugar gets caught in the spoon because the spoon is wet.
The grains of sugar that dissolve when they touch the water that is sitting on the spoon.

- Inconsistency of internet service globally by major carriers of cellphones.
This could be because of the crowds of cellphone users that consume the data, or lack of data receivers that power the cellphone service.

- Ignorance of people who are given news out of context and begin to speculate and spread false rumors and call it "news'.
Many news sources provide news on stories that may be taken out of context, or quote from public figures that are also taken out of the context in which they were said. This leads many news viewers to have a bias and follow the agenda of the media outlet of which they heard this news.

- Many people get their news or facts from unreliable sources, which leads to knowledge that is false and many people being falsely educated.
This is caused by many authors writing articles, blogs, news-stories, etc. based on opinions instead of based on their facts. Many authors make claims instead of state facts.

- Music streaming apps with restrictions based on carriers, and artist selection. Such as Tidal exclusively having the rights to Jay-Z's albums, and Apple Music having slower processing on Android.
Many streaming applications simply want to to outdo the competition, this causes discomfort to the user who simply want to listen to music on their selected app.

Much of this list were things that bug me on a day to day basis, and many of them are small problems that can be solved simply by doing things a certain way. This list was semi-difficult to come up with because many of the things that bug me all have a solution, or are a result of my own wrongdoing. I also mentioned things that have yet to be solved such as the ignorance of people, or the music streaming apps. These are things with broader solutions that are complex and require extensive research, planning, and cooperation by those involved.

  2. When going into my assignment, I took a long time thinking of specific things that truly bugged me. Stuff that I couldn't find a solution to off the top of my head. But after reading your post, I now realize that there is so much stuff I could've written down that would have been so much more genuine. I found the thirteenth bug you listed to be extremely relatable, dropped a pen down there over a month ago; still haven't gotten it out.

  3. I feel your pain on a bunch of these bugs you listed; the dropping small objects between the couch is an especially annoying one for me. Also really agree with your bug about Uber--they really need to tweak a few things for me to want to consistently use their service. Oh and about that bed frame--a pillow behind either side of the headboard/frame usually does the trick, at least in temporary situations.

  4. This was a really great list of bug, which were very relatable. One that really resonated with me was when you talked about was being left on hold with businesses, I had that in my list of bugs as well. My favorite bug of yours was when you were talking about things falling in between the driver seat and the center console of the car, as this happens to me quite frequently. I enjoyed how you included the fact that some, but not all of the bugs have solutions. I feel not many people included whether their bugs had solutions or not. I look forward to hearing more from you.
