Final Reflection:
1) Read through your posts from this semester. Recall all of the experiences you've had a long the way -- the highs, the lows -- the fun moments, and the moments of drudgery, and even the moments of dread.
There have been many moments throughout the semester where I saw myself failing, where I felt like given up, and to be honest I might have failed sometimes, but I always got myself back up no matter what the failure was. This class helped me to realize that even the greats have failed, and that no venture is going to be perfect no matter how hard you try.
2) What sticks out to you as the most formative experience? The experience that you'll remember years later? What was your most joyous experience? What experience are you most proud of yourself for accomplishing?
The most formative experience I'll remember from this semester is the job I acquired for the university. It allowed me to be uncomfortable, and to make sure I use my time wisely with school, a job, and social life. My most joyous was my birthday because my friends came to Gainesville and met my friends here and all had a great time, and I am most proud of being able to finish the semester better than the last.
3) At the beginning of the semester, I mentioned that I wanted each of you to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Now, at the end, do you see yourself as an entrepreneur? Do you think you have moved closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset?
Yes, after thinking like an entrepreneur for these assignments, and reading about so many I think I know embody the tenaciousness it takes and the work ethic. I had to step out of my comfort zone in order to use the thought process to complete many of these assignments and had to be punctual in my work and time management something that many entrepreneurs themselves would do.
4) What is the one recommendation you would make to the students who are going to journey down this path in the future? What would you recommend they do to perform best in this course? What would you recommend they do to foster that mindset?
I recommend to always manage time wisely and stay on top of the things that are due and needed for this course.

Hey Adrian,
ReplyDeleteI have liked and supported your venture concept from the beginning and believe that you have come a long way. I really like how you had to step out of your comfort zone in order to use the thought process to complete many of these assignments and had to be punctual in your work and time management. I also agree to recommend to incoming students about to take this course is to always manage time wisely and stay on top of the things that are due and needed for this course. Good luck in the future!
Adrian,
ReplyDeleteAfter reading through this post, I truly think you've gone through the steps that it takes to become an entrepreneur. You've entered a business world with a venture concept and continuously worked on it for months. Most importantly, you did this by entering into the business sphere with your job. Everyone's gotta start somewhere, I think you've made an excellent start.
I can see you have taken a lot of skills from this class. I also find it great that you found a job with the university, and I am sure it will improve your skill sets. I can see from some of your other posts that you have developed a entrepreneurial mindset. I completely agree that time management is vital to being successful, not only in this class, but in life. Thanks for the great post!
ReplyDeleteHey Adrian,
ReplyDeleteBased on this post, I can see that you have learned a lot throughout this course. It is great to see that you have realized that even the smartest people fail and your failures can teach you valuable lessons. I agree that time management is very key to this class as there are many assignments that you can miss if your not paying attention. Overall great post!
