14A 1)  Tenaciousness is a competency.  What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?  I used an entrepreneurship like mindset of always having the go-get-it mentality and being focused and organized as well as tenacious with keeping on track of my assignments. I also soak in a lot of the things I learn when reading my peer's blog posts.  2)  Tenaciousness is also about attitude.  Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this? When I failed AP Calc as a Junior in High School I felt like giving up but I retook the class and passed. I feel like I have develop a tenaciousness through the motivation of entrepreneurs we read about.  3)  Three tips.  What are three tips you would offer next semester's s...
1) You read about an entrepreneur: I chose to read about  Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future, Ashlee Vance What surprised me the most was how relatable and down to earth Elon is. He was brought up through humble upbringings in South Africa, and it surprised me because most entrepreneurs are wealthy and successful through generational wealth. I mostly admired how most of his ventures as an entrepreneur are a direct result of how smart he is. His companies, Tesla, SpaceX, Solar City, and The Boring Company are all directly owned by him and are a direct result of his ideas and inventions.  I did not admire how his marketing tactics work. Although I can always appreciate a forward thinker, Elon's ideas seem t always be too farfetched, and sometimes he should be a realist.  Elon failed multiple times in terms of sales for Tesla and SpaceX launches, but he always persevered and never listened to critics who told him his ideas were too outla...
11A- Idea Napkin no. 1 My name is Adrian, and I am a Public Relations major at the University of Florida. My talents include being sociable, and great at talking to people, and my aspirations are to be a successful corporate lawyer or entrepreneur. This product is a website/software database that provides users with the true source of a news article or post, and allows readers to test the credibility and decipher the legitimacy of the news. I am offering this service to all people who are interested in learning about their news sources or simply want to be better informed of where their news comes from. These people care because news is their main and vita source of information to stay updated on current events that may effect them, and having incorrect sources can cause one to be completely misinformed. Competencies include a severely and thoroughly researched/designed database that is able to intelligently decipher different news articles and whether or not they deem to be leg...

9a- Testing the Hypothesis Part 2 Who      There are people that do fall outside the boundary of my opportunity. The idea of a service and good that is used to filter out fake news and also decide and report the credibility of news sources to user and consumers is not one that would be used by everyone. For example, I interviewed a working mom who explained to me that she did not care for the service because of her lifestyle. Being that she is busy with work, her kids, and her home, she does not really care for using her time to analyze credible sources of her news or news that pops up on her social media. Likewise, I interviewed a football player who thought the same way, he simply did not care for the opportunity and although he thought it was a good idea, he was not interested in it whatsoever. To try and reach the other spectrum, I interviewed a liberal arts Political Science major, who told me that he is against the service, because at the end of the day if the...
8A- Solving the Problem My opportunity involves one that does not have a very simple solution. The problem of Fake News and Fake News Posts/Stories is one that is very prevalent in todays society that is basically half lived out on the internet. My solution to this issue would include both a service and product. A service would include the mass awareness of Fake News and how prevailing it is in our day to day lives. This would include campaigns on the internet about the widespread debacle of fake propaganda or accounts that pose as news accounts that spew out lies in order to pursue an agenda or misinform. The service would be a computer program or software that can be purchased by social media outlets and search engines to prevent fake news outlets from gaining credibility, as well as a websites that users can use to research a certain article and review the credibility of the publisher and author.
7A- Testing the Hypothesis 1) The opportunity I would like to pursue is regarding the credibility of news in the modern era. 2) News around the world, but more specifically the United States, is often skewed, exaggerated, or even made up, and people around the world suffer from receiving and believing fake news that pursues a certain agenda, is designed to create division, or simply meant to mislead and misinform. 3) The Who:      There are many people in the United States who share this need for the elimination of fake news on the internet. Mainly citizens who use the internet as the main way of acquiring news, as well as businesses, people, or different things, that the fake news affects. The What:       There are many news sources and news pieces that provide accurate, viable, and legitimate news and news stories, so not all online news sources are completely false and misinforming their audiences. The Why:         T...
